Experience

The Alexander Tel Aviv Hotel was originally opened in 1992 as one of Tel Aviv’s first all suite hotels. It was renovated in 2006 to transform it into one of the most unique and luxurious boutique hotels in the city. The hotel has become one of the favorites for tourists for its beachside location which is still central, making sightseeing a breeze. The trendiest eateries and clubs of the Tel Aviv Port area are just steps away from the hotel.

I chose the Alexander based on reviews and because I wanted to stay near the beach.

The check-in was very efficient and friendly. The receptionist also gave a rundown of what to do around the area and explained that beach towels are available.

I stayed in a One Bedroom Suite which is beautifully clad in rich colors and textures. Included is a living room and a kitchenette which was not necessary in my case with 24 hour room service and the rooftop restaurant. The living room area had a flat screen TV and a wonderful view over the coast and city, especially at sunset.

The bathroom had a stand alone bath and shower separated by a sink and toilet in the center. The hotel offers the French L’Occitane toiletries.

The Alexander Tel Aviv is an all suite hotel from Junior Suites to The Presidential Suite which offers panoramic views and two floors totaling 6,000 Sq. Ft. Every suite offers guests complimentary wi-fi, two LCD TVs, sofa bed, refrigerator, microwave, Nespresso machine, and complimentary use of the Business Center.

The hotel is in the process of adding a gym and spa. But with the beach so close by, there’s no reason not to just take a swim in the sea. If the beach is too crowded, the Yarkon Park is a great place to get away for a quiet walk, bike ride, or afternoon picnic.

The Ceila Rooftop Lounge is located on the seventh floor overlooking the city and the sea from the comfort of cosy sofas or high tabletops. This is the perfect place to enjoy the full Israeli breakfast buffet before heading in the city for a day of sightseeing. On the first floor, the Alexander Bar & Lounge is a chic place to relax with cocktails and wine. It even incorporated a fashionable library into the décor of the bar.

The Alexander Tel Aviv Hotel provides a great option for a luxury traveler to relax by the beach. The large suites are well equipped for a comfortable stay whether short term or long term. The staff add the final touch to create the luxurious environment that the boutique aims to achieve.

I would recommend the Alexander Tel Aviv Hotel to any visitor who opts for modern comforts of the city, while having access to the beach.
