Experience

The Aria Hotel is a destination in itself for music lovers. The 5-star hotel was once a theater and has embraced its musical history since opening in 2003 and has consistently been listed as one the best luxury hotels in Europe. The Aria Hotel’s standout feature is the seamless integration of music from all ages into guest’s everyday experience. Each of its four guest room levels are devoted to different genres of music on each floor featuring some of the greatest artists of all time like Brahms, Mozart, Sinatra, Elvis, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. Walking into the lobby is almost like walking into the home of an art collector with statues and art along every wall and stylish modern furniture to lounge on.

All 51 Guest Rooms and Suites at the Aria Hotel carry the musical theme with iPods full of musical selections and Apple TV with access to the hotel’s vast database of music and short biographies of the artists. Rooms are also outfitted with satellite TV, CD and DVD player, computer with high-speed internet wi-fi, a fully stocked mini bar and tablets available by request. Deluxe Rooms are decorated in warm colors for a cozy feel and enjoy views of St. Nicholas Church or the Winter Garden Atrium. Suites have a more residential feel and are as unique as every individual that stays in them. Decorated by the famous Italian designers responsible for Versace’s stores and buildings, every Luxury Suite design was inspired by famous musicians featured within the hotel.

For even more music selections, guests can settle in to the Music Library which a wide variety of CDs, music DVDs and music literature while lounging in plush leather chairs. The Music Salon is also has comfy leather chairs and an extensive selection of literature guests can enjoy with a drink by the fireplace. For private screenings guests can reserve the Musicbox with a plasma screen and surround sound.

For a little fresh air, the Vrtbovska Garden can be accessed right behind the hotel. The garden dates back to the early 18th century which makes it the oldest and best preserved baroque garden in Prague and is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Sculptures, frescoes are integrated into the greenery and flora on every terrace of the steeply sloped gardens. The close association with the gardens makes the Aria Hotel a popular destination for weddings and special events.

In addition to breathtaking views, the Aria Hotel also offers some of the finest dining in the city. Inside Coda Restaurant, original paintings and sculptures accent the art-deco décor and live piano performances to add visual and musical elements while guests enjoy the cuisine and wine. Every meal is prepared by the Sous Vide cooking method and only with the freshest local ingredients. The best seat in the house is on the Rooftop Terrace which exhibits all of Prague’s beauty with panoramic views.

The Aria Hotel is also home to TERASA U Zlaté Studně for additional fine dining. The building dates back to the 16th century but converted into a restaurant around 1900 and refurbished in 2008. TERASA U Zlaté Studně also offers terrace dining and has direct access to the Royal Gardens of Prague Castle. In addition to a delectable menu and beautiful views, the bar is also somewhat of a Mecca to cognac lovers. TERASA U Zlaté Studně is one of only 40 restaurants to obtain the “Rémy Martin Louis XIII Fortress” label which requires staff to be specially trained to handle the rare liquor which is the only cognac to be categorized as an “Ultra Premium Cognac”. On display is a 3-litre crystal Jeroboam bottle of Louis XIII, one of only 100 bottles manufactured in a limited series.

Service throughout the hotel is also wonderful with caring and friendly staff available to meet your needs. The front desk even arranged a breakfast to go when they learned that I had an early departure. Now that’s thinking on behalf of the guest!

With a great property, friendly staff and a unique concept, I would highly recommend the Aria Hotel for any travelers in search of a special stay in the romantic city of Prague.
