  • Located near Tirana’s city center.

Experience

The Hotel Dinasty is located in the center of the natural park of Tirana. Known as one of the best in the city, the seven floor hotel is housed in an imposing structure featuring stone, hand-carved wood, intricate ironwork, mosaics and stained glass details. With great reviews, I looked forward to the stay.

Coming from Skopje, we arrived late in the evening. The reception was available even in the early morning and checked us in. We went up to our room and settled in.

As a small boutique, the hotel offers 28 rooms and 6 luxury suites. Each guest space is furnished with romantic furniture in rich warm hues and modern accessories. Wireless internet, satellite TV, mini bar and a working desk are all available in each room. Suites also enjoy a patio view of the natural park. Stepping into the room or suite is like stepping back into the golden age, instead of minimalist décor the hotel opted for ornate elegance with gold trim and intricate details.

The room has a living area with large opulent couches and a separate bedroom with a king bed. The bathroom is simple but complete with the basics of a shower, toilet, and sink. There was also a terrace with views over the park.

The next day we went for breakfast in the hotel’s main restaurant. The delicately made buffet was a fine selection of quality dishes homemade by the hotel chef. Situated inside the hotel, the Tavern is open for dining throughout the day and offers a wide variety of Albanian and International wines that can pair with any menu. The English Lord styled room mixes stone masonry walls with dark wood ceilings and columns to create a cozy atmosphere. The stained glass windows add a bit of warmth and color depicting flora, landscapes and wildlife.

For informal gatherings, the hotel Terrace Bar has a 100 person capacity and can be reserved. The courteous hotel personnel are very helpful selecting a menu and arranging music for a refreshing atmosphere.

Hotel Dinasty even offers a Night Club though we didn’t get to experience it.

The striking décor the Hotel Dinasty gives any special occasion an added air of intrigue. Non-Governmental Organizations, business associations and state institutions are just a few of types of groups that have chosen the hotel’s Conference Room to host events. The room can hold up to 100 people and provides multiple lighting systems and a central audio system for presentations.

One of the most impressive points of the stay was the service by the front desk, restaurant staff and the friendly owner. We didn’t feel like we were staying at a hotel but rather at the home of old friends. As a connoisseur, the owner enthusiastically showed us his wine collection from around the world.

The tranquil setting is a fantastic place to get away from the busy city life, though a short walk away and you can access most of the city sights.

The Hotel Dinasty is steeped in classical traditions when it comes to physical appearance but beneath the façade this is a modern hotel with all the amenities expected of contemporary and modern hotels. With friendly service, great cuisine, and a comfortable atmosphere, I recommend Hotel Dinasty to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Tirana.
