Experience

The 4 star Hotel Luxe has been a labor of love for owners Mr. and Mrs. Parčina. The boutique hotel now sits where a factory once stood before it burned down in the early 1980s. The furnishings were handpicked by Mrs. Parčina for a fresh and sleek look that complements Split’s traditional hotels. With great reviews, I looked forward to experiencing the property.

Arriving at the hotel, the check-in process was very efficient and completed quickly.

Hotel Luxe is made up of a combination of rooms and suites. The bold colors of the décor and the amazing sea views offer plenty of eye candy. Our had a queen bed with a lounge area facing the outdoor balcony. A desk offered a work area with a minibar.

All Suites and Superior Rooms offer wi-fi/LAN, a safe deposit box, minibar, LED TV and beds that can be configured as twin beds or combined into a queen.

The bold blue and purple hues continue into the bathroom with glossy tile work. The room seemed spacious with the large wall mirrors above the sink and shower/bathtub combination. Across the sink was the purple wall with a sleek toilet design.

Hotel Luxe sits in the middle of the city in close proximity to all the major tourist sites like the UNESCO protected Diocletian’s Palace, the Bell Tower of St. Duje, and the Monument of Grgur Ninski. The hotel even offers private tours which include transportation, entrance fees, lunch and even a complimentary glass of wine or champagne!

What we found was really relaxing after a day’s touring, was Hotel Luxe’s Wellness Center. With a sauna, a soothing whirlpool, and massage therapists there are plenty of options. There’s also a fitness room complete with a running track, bicycle and multi-functional machine so guests can get a full workout.

The primary Restaurant uses local organic foods and flavors for savory Asian fusion a la carte dishes. They start serving breakfast at 6:30 a.m. but “breakfast to go” can be arranged for guests departing early. For a light snack, the 24 hour Lobby Bar is a great place to grab a quick coffee or people watch with a view of the street-life of Split.

The Cigar Lounge where guests can enjoy a fine cognac and cigar with friends or business partners, also boasts a great view of the main street. The lounge can be reserved for business meetings for a more casual atmosphere with free wi-fi, comfortable seating, and an excellent ventilation system.

The service at the hotel was very welcoming and friendly. They made every effort to accommodate our schedule and helped organize our travel itineraries.

With a trendy interior, luxurious rooms with sea views, a great wellness center and friendly staff, Hotel Luxe is designed to impress. I highly recommend the centrally located property to leisure travelers and business guests alike.
