The InterContinental is well known around the world and Kiev is no exception. This 5-star hotel maintains a reputation as one of the best hotels of the city.
On arrival, you’ll notice the excellent location of the hotel centered in the historic and near the business district. Stepping into the lobby, classic elegance greets the guest. Check in is a breeze and the service is very friendly and professional.
With 272 rooms, the hotel has several categories and options. I stayed in a King Deluxe Room room with views over the square. The rooms come with a parking space, free minibar including tea and coffee, a flat screen TV and even an iPod docking station. Wifi is free and very fast. The room also features a convenient workstation.
The marble clad bathroom featured a separate bath and shower, with a central sink.
The hotel does not lack dining options with Olivera, the Italian restaurant serving breakfast, Comme Il Faut a Parisian brasserie, with a terrace open in the summer, and the trendy B-Hush serving Asian fusion. The lobby lounge bar is open for drinks throughout the day.
For business guests, there is a business center and well equipped conference centers with high speed internet access. There are also shops and a souvenir boutique in the lobby.
SPA InterContinental is the well known branded spa which maintains the high standards in this hotel. There is also a gym, swimming pool, and saunas for guest use.
Service at the hotel is discreet and professional. The nonintrusive attitude doesn’t mean that staff are not readily available to meet nay needs of the guests.
Overall the InterContinental is a wonderful choice for a stay in Kiev with a classy luxury style, central location near historical landmarks, comprehensive facilities and great service. I’d highly recommend a stay for those seeking a distinguished experience.
