  • Excellent proactive service.

Experience

Hotel Palazzo Zichy was constructed in the 19th century, once a home to the famous Count Nándor Zichy, and now a 4-star hotel in the Palace Quarter of Budapest. A statue of Count Zichy is in the square right in front of the hotel. The city is split down the center by the Danube River, creating a “Buda” (West) side and “Pest” (East) side. The hotel sits on the “Pest” side of a thriving Budapest.

Stylish contemporary furnishings in rich colors fill the spacious Superior Rooms and Junior Suites. Walls are covered in soft colors with a hint of texture which brightens and adds more character to the room and the soundproof windows ensure a peaceful stay. Also included for extra convenience are satellite TV, wireless internet, mini bar, and an oversized safe for a laptop.

The bathroom is much like the rest of the room, with clean lines and neutral colors that are accented by intricate patterns and texture.

Hotel Palazzo Zichy provides guests with a range of equipment at their Fitness Center including cardiovascular and strength equipment. Flat screen televisions adorn the walls and complimentary towels and bottled water are available to stay cool and hydrated. Use of the fitness facilities and sauna is complimentary to all guests and is open 24 hours.

Breakfast is also complimentary to guests and is served in the unique glass roofed restaurant. If you miss breakfast hours, coffee and water are free in Hotel Palazzo Zichy’s Lounge until the Lobby Bar begins service of fine cocktails which lasts well into the evening.

Service at the front desk is very professional and proactive. We were given a tour of the property as well as an introduction to the sights of the city and the best itinerary to see them.

For those venturing outside the Hotel Palazzo Zichy the underground lines are minutes away which lead to all the major tourist sites. The Hungarian National Museum is also a short walk away as is the pedestrian area for a leisurely stroll through the city.

For a welcoming stay in a luxurious and historic property in the center of Budapest, I highly recommend the Hotel Palazzo Zichy to both tourists and business travelers.
