New town new shirt. Kyoto offers many many beautiful shrines and temples. Well worth the visit! At the A-Bomb Dome in Hiroshima. I appreciate the focus on peace and denuclearization put forth by Hiroshima and Japan as a whole. The hypocenter of where the atomic bomb went off in Nagasaki. The museum also surprisingly had a #touristshirt. On my bucket list since skyfall came out I finally made it to Gunkanjima. #touristshirt Another one for the collection. Okinawa #touristshirt in the Japanese Naval Tunnels. In WWII the USS Intrepid faced kamikaze attacks and torpedoes. It also served in the Cold War. An abandoned villa in the center of Cagliari perched on top of a hill with stunning sea views. Though today it is crumbling and has severe fire damage, at some point this was a beautiful structure. Rising from the heart of Sydney Harbour, Cockatoo Island was once a convict prison and a major WWII shipyard, today it’s a UNESCO-listed site where you can explore abandoned tunnels, heritage buildings, and panoramic lookouts. Grotta di San Giovanni, located in Domusnovas, Sardinia spans 850 meters making it the world’s longest cave traversed by a road. The cave is famous for its karst formations, including stalactites and stalagmites, and has been inhabited since prehistoric times. A 19th-century internal road was built for mining, and today visitors can walk through enjoying the natural formations.
