Background

Set on the banks of the river separating Congo from the DRC is the newly opened Radisson Blu M’Bamou Palace Hotel. This high-rise has 178 rooms featuring the most modern facilities and technology. It’s location is convenient as well, less than 5 km from the international airport and near the ferry crossing to DRC, everything is easily within reach. Having just hiked Mt. Cameroon, I was excited to experience the comfort of this new property.

Experience

Besides some issues with the immigration at the airport, I had a great airport transfer service and check in. I stayed in an Executive Suite with a spacious lounge room that included a guest bathroom, bar, work desk, and seating area. This lead to a separate dining room that connected the main bedroom. The bedroom also had a modern lounge chair. The decoration was very modern but had touches of African detailing for a local touch and the view of the river and sunset was spectacular.

The master bathroom clad in marble tiles featured his and her sinks, a shower, and separate bath. Thisworks amenities were included.

The high speed internet was actually extremely fast. It was such a pleasure to use the internet as I would back home and made the stay even more extraordinary. The Business Lounge is also available to this room category.

In terms of restaurants, there were plenty of options. M’Namou Larder provides breakfast and all day dining of international cuisine. The Lounge offers drink and refreshments in the lobby. Le Feu Des Savers specializes in grilled meats and local dishes. The pool bar is named Il Taglio and also serves snacks.

The hotel has many facilities such as an outdoor pool, gym, billiards, and spa. There are shops near the lobby and even a night club named L’Etoile.

For business guests, the hotel has a massive event space with catering and professional organization.

Service and management were very pleasant and sophisticated. I was well taken care of throughout my stay.

Whether visiting for business or tourism, the Radisson Blu Mbamou Palace Hotel is one of the best places to stay in Brazzaville. With unparalleled views, a central location, modern and high tech facilities, and excellent service, one is sure to have a memorable experience. I for sure hope to visit and stay again!
