Experience

Beirut, the capital of Lebanon is the most bustling city of the country. This large metropolis has many luxury hotels, but few design luxury hotels like The Smallville Hotel.

I was invited to stay at the new hotel during its soft opening. With its high ranking and reviews, I looked forward to the experience.

On arrival the friendly front desk checked us quickly and with a smile. On entering the elevator, an exotic voice coming from purple digital lips on a monitor in the ceiling advised we were going up. This video is ever changing, but these little touches hinted that The Smallville was focused on design.

We had an Empire Suite on the 14th floor. The two bedroom set up had a magnificent wrap-around terrace for views over most of Beirut’s skyline.

The first bedroom had two beds facing a TV, a work desk, and a private bathroom.

The hallway leads to the living area with a kitchen and dining table. This full kitchen includes a stove, microwave, large fridge, sink and coffee machine.

A desk is next to the couch with a coffee table that faces the revolving flat screen TV and has city views from the floor to ceiling windows.

Behind the TV station is the main bedroom facing the windows. A door to the right of the king bed leads to the primary bathroom with a rain shower, sink, and toilet.

Besides the artsy decoration, the terrace is incredibly large and offers amazing sunset views.

The hotel is also located centrally in the city, right next to the National Museum.

In the lobby is a concierge desk and a foosball table leading to the bar and seating area. Continuing through, is the main open-air restaurant.

On the top floor is a restaurant and pool. The views are magnificent from the infinity pool, which feels like you are swimming above Beirut. A bar is available for drinks and snacks as well. A gym is also available to guests.

The service at the hotel is enthusiastic and friendly. From the front desk to the bar staff, everyone had a smile when addressing us. The team even helped organize tours on request.

The Smallville Hotel, though still in its soft-opening stage, has already proved itself to be one of the best hotels of the city with its great facilities, inspiring rooms and views, and a passionate team.

For a luxurious modern boutique, I highly recommend the hotel to any visitors of Beirut. You will not be disappointed.
