Experience

The Hotel Hollywood Sarajevo is a monolith of a hotel near the airport and city center. With 355 rooms and suites, 63 brand new deluxe rooms and state-of-the-art fitness and recreation centers, Hotel Hollywood Sarajevo was designed to be the largest and most comprehensive hotel in the city. I was excited to experience the facilities.

Coming from Tirana, we arrived quite late in the evening. The hotel was still very busy with plenty people lounging around at the bar and socializing. The check-in was very quick and we soon settled into our room.

The rooms are wrapped in soft colors and patterns. There is a workspace facing the beds. All rooms are fully equipped with wireless internet, mini bar, safe, satellite TV and pay TV which includes movies and games.

The bathroom is spacious with a minimalist design featuring a Jacuzzi tub and shower.

The next morning we went for breakfast in the main restaurant. The National Restaurant offers a wide range of international, local and Mediterranean cuisines. The buffet was large but quite crowded as there seemed to be a conference at the hotel during the time. The hotel also offers Dalmatian specialties at The Tavern. With 100 seats, the atmosphere is pleasant and yet intimate for smaller gatherings.

Focused on business conferences and groups, the hotel has many options for events. The conference center features 18 halls with 3,000 seats and the on-site restaurants can serve 1,500 guests simultaneously. With halls on the top floor with open terraces, the spaces are impressive and the views inspiring.

The facilities of the Hotel Hollywood Sarajevo is definitely a highlight. Recreational centers like the Fitness Center, Sports Hall, Bowling Center, Billiard Club and the semi Olympic Swimming Pool are ideal for athletes and fitness buffs. The Sports Hall is fully equipped to FIBA standards with a full basketball court. For something less strenuous the Billiard Club has five top of the line tables for competitive play.

The Wellness Center and Spa Center promote health through massage therapies, aromatherapy, anti-stress treatments, Turkish baths and a salt room.

The sheer size of the hotel can be a little intimidating at first but the staff make the massive spaces warm and welcoming to guests. From the front desk to the sales and marketing team, we received helpful information and a great tour of the property.

Near the airport and the Sarajevo Tunnel Museum, the hotel can reach the town center by a taxi ride for other sights.

The Hotel Hollywood Sarajevo is ideal for large groups but also accommodates individuals. With the comprehensive collection of facilities and meeting spaces I recommend the Hotel Hollywood Sarajevo to all visitors, especially those that need to be near the airport.
